The Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria has finally surrendered to years of appeal to make verification of nurses’ document to oversea a seamless online process. Before now, nurses are mandated to make physical submissions to nmc offices in a way that people have to pay someone to print out documents and submit in far places.
The circular below has details of the process. Unfortunately, many who have submitted without a response since January look lost on what to do now or how to go about their long overdue applications. The new process did not also clarify a deadline to expectation of responses or if they have to wait for ages before responses like the old system. It is also as contained, for UK verification alone.
Some have immediately offered suggestions like having a comment session from nmcn on their portal page if NMCN requires additional details or where they could chat up for what is delaying responses.
However, majority of feedbacks to the circular hails the nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria for taking a bold step in history.
Updates to come on how to start the process…
